A touch of tenderness

It’s one of those mornings which bring a certain sense of something nice and make you feel uplifted. It’s like a warm embrace or a tender smile on the face of someone who’s been far away from you for ages and yet that presence seems so close enough as if you will spread your arm and touch it.
A stream of thoughts, concerning daily tasks and routines may run through your mind to take you away from that lovely feeling. Then it comes back again and while finishing your cup of coffee an image sparks in front of your eyes - a recollection from the past or perhaps a fantasy.
Your to-do list is waiting and you swiftly organise yourself to start ticking the boxes. That’s just a day like all the others, but still that sense of being happy for obviously no reason keeps holding your entire inner self. You may smile, probably more than often, and lightly go with the flow.
There’s no resistance or distraction from what you have to do. It feels nice and you feel nice. That wonderful emotion follows you whatever you may do and wherever you may go. There’s no imposing or a harsh request to answer its call. It’s patiently waiting for a second of attention to bring back more of what it has.
Then, you may take a moment to surrender and follow its thread to where it leads to just indulge that touch of tenderness. An instant feeling of warmness surrounds your chest and fills you with affection. There’s no need to ask who or what it could be as you are intuitively aware where it all comes from.
It’s warm and it’s green. Your eyes absorb that greenness from everywhere around. It comes from the trees, from the grass and even from the random ads you accidentally come across. It's friendly and it says “hello” in its secret language to make you smile again and send your “hello” to where it needs to go.
