Dance of the pink flamingo

Whenever it comes to expressing your individuality a pink flamingo shine above your head. A move to the right, and then to the left – you have to be sure that everyone has noticed you, or at least the ones you’ve been expecting to. It could be as a stunning solo or a magnificent ensemble dance, just keep the rhythm of your emotions and let the dance go.
It’s so natural for all of us to dream about that certain place where we could be entirely ourselves and moreover to perfectly fit that marvelous realm. Facing the reality, however, shows that letting ourselves be ourselves, in a world ruled by templates and frames, seems like the hardest challenge to be overcome. Though the mission might look impossible, it’s always a matter of a personal choice.
If we were supposed to be created alike, then we would have been all created alike. There’s a purpose in that great diversity and it is to be the source of the powerful energy which makes the life goes on. For surely we also need frames, but solely to keep us on the safe side and further more to protect us from somebody’s need to expose that mighty, self-expressing energy in a dangerous way.
You can always choose to stay on the safe side and adjust yourself to the size of the frame, no matter how small or big it is. If that complies with your personal understandings and needs, then it will work sufficiently for you. Keeping up with the frame, though, has its shortcomings as well – one day you may wake up to find that you have totally lost yourself.
Wading through the waters of emotions and expressing them in public, is an art and it requires a significant dose of gracefulness to be done. That’s a brave step outside of the frame and it hides some risks. You may find yourself struggling to fit a given community or easily get the label “weird”. Apart from the bitter feelings which the situation may cause, nothing more frightening can happen.
That’s right – we are not alike and it is simply Nature. Revealing your unique individuality to the world is a part of your own growing. There will be some (hard) lessons to be learned and some new, exciting things to be found and experienced, but above all you will be always in touch with the real you – alive and filled with creative energy.
